I feel like writing this post is a joke in and of itself.
In October I got one book on my TBR read. ONE. BOOK.
It was Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin and it was amazing and wonderful and so many other things, but it was literally the only book outside of our books we read for discussions that I read.
So this month. This month I’m totally restructuring my life. I’m buckling down and taking fewer naps and stuffing more reading time in its place.
It’s going to happen. Maybe.
First on the list for November:
Firefight by Brandon Sanderson
Funny note about Firefight — it was on my TBR for both September and October. I’m being forced to go fishing with my boyfriend on Saturday and intend on sitting on the pier and reading this bad boy the entire time. Talk about prioritizing right?
The Midnight Star by Marie Lu
Marie Lu is a brilliant writer that I think gets overshadowed sometimes because YA has such a massive pool of talented authors right now. I’m really excited to complete this series and even more excited to see what’s next for the author.
Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh
I’m still intrigued by this self-proclaimed prehistoric Pride and Prejudice synopsis. I need to know what that even looks like.
That’s all I’m doing for my TBR this month. That puts me at seven books with our discussions. Doing this TBR has also made it glaringly obvious that my book buying ban may be coming to an end as — wait for it — I’ve read almost all of my books on my bookshelf.
So, I leave you with this as I begin shopping for more books.

I just stared at your header photo for about three minutes because IT’S SO PRETTY. Happy reading for November! 🙂

I’ve heard of Ivory and Bone. BTW, was And I Darken a good book?

And I Darken is easily one of my favorite books of the year. It’s a historical fiction and a play Vlad the Impaler from a completely different perspective. You should definitely read it.
