This week’s #S4S is based on back to school. Here at Thrice Read, we have been back to school for 3 weeks now, but I know most of the rest of the US goes bts after Labor Day… so here we are.
Also, in honor of our district in Florida being closed on Tuesday for Hurricane Dorian, I figured might as well stick with a school themed post! Everyone that may be in the vicinity of Dorian, please be safe!
This weeks #S4S is based on books that should be studied in school. I feel like I didn’t get enough great books that opened my eyes when I was in school, so I would like to focus on those books.

For this I chose some books that really impacted myself when I read them in school, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and 1984. I also chose some books that I think are important to look at and give students some perspective in their lives.
I believe with my Rhône heart that the Harry Potter series should be required reading.
