I Messed Up Book Tag

I just finished Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas, so I’m reeling a bit. Since I have this massive book hangover I felt it would be best to do a book tag today.

What better than the I Messed Up book tag? Because I mess up a lot.

A Character Appearance You Misread or Imagined Differently?

I feel as though I picture a lot of characters differently from how they are described. One character that comes to mind is Aelin Galanthynius. My perception of her appearance has continued to change over the course of these books and I’m not sure how accurate any of them have been.

A Character Name That You’ve Been Pronouncing Wrong?

Ugh Manon Blackbeak’s name gets me every time. I know how to pronounce it. However, it’s inevitable that I will always mispronounce it out loud.

An Overused Trope That Is Your Guilty Pleasure?

The hero’s journey. I love following a protagonist’s evolution throughout a book

A Cliché Character That You Like Better On Screen Than Reading About?

I would have to say I would definitely rather watch a love triangle occur in a film or movie than read about it.

A Word Or Phrase That You Learned Because of It’s Use In Books?

“Good point, well made.” It has become an often used inside joke between Eden and I. Gotta love Fifty Shades of Grey for providing unintentional humor.

Have You Ever Read/Not Completed A Required Reading Book For School?

This has happened too many times to count. I didn’t finish 1985 by George Orwell in high school and that is a huge regret.

How You Ever Skipped (Or Wanted To) A Chapter From The Point Of View Of A Character You Weren’t Interested In?

No, but I have definitely wanted to. The book that comes to mind first would have to be Allegiant for this one.

Have You Ever Cancelled Social Plans To Read A Book?

What kind of book blogger would I be if I said no to this? Luckily my best friends run this site with me, so our social plans kind of revolve around books now.

So, what ways have you “Messed Up” when reading a book? Do you agree with any of my answers? Let me know below!

  1. Oo I love this tag – I’m definitely doing it!

Having bookish/reader friends is the best because it means you can feel social whilst still reading or shopping for books, haha. 😛
