Owlcrate Unboxing – September

I’m sure many of you have already heard of Owlcrate. It is a monthly subscription box. Every month you receive 3-5 bookish items as well as a newly published YA novel within this subscription box. The box is $29.99 a month.

The theme for September was “Darkness.” In this month’s box I received 4 bookish items in addition to a newly published YA novel.

 

This month’s newly published book is Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I am super excited about this new fantasy series.
Synopsis: Every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. This synopsis has me hooked. I’m really excited to find an opportunity to read this book. I have very high hopes. I had seen it around in bookstores previously. However, I never really picked it up to read the synopsis. So, I am very happy that it was included in my Owlcrate this month.

This month’s Owlcrate was one that I was very excited for. I love reading fantasy novels. So, when they announced that September was focused around that genre I couldn’t wait. It did not disappoint. I was happy with each and every item. 

A new item this month was the inclusion of the serialized book series ReMade. This series of serials will come out in 15 episodes. I am not sure if I will like the serialization. However, I’m excited to try this new type of reading experience. 

Overall, I loved my Owlcrate this month. I have never been disappointed by this subscription box and I cannot wait for the next crate.
